Rare Vintage 1940s Oriental Cheongsam Dress Blue Geometric Wool Qipao UK XS striped fully lined with lustrous greenA rare 1940s or perhaps late 1930s Cheongsam dress, made from a fine but quite densely woven wool fabric in dark blue decorated with embroidered circles or number 8s in red & white. Cut in the classic style with high stand collar, diagonal fastening on the upper right bodice, unpadded shoulders, & bracelet length sleeves; the skirt is slim, with deep side vents at the hems. It fastens at the side with a silver metal '555' zip, with popper fastenings
