The brooch has a large pearl and a blue gemstone making up the body of the bee. The wings of the bee have tiny encrusted seed pearls. The brooch has a number of hallmarks included 375 (9ct gold) and 'T&M' (Thomas & Marshall Horace Thomas & Walter Marshall, Birmingham 1904). The brooch is in excellent condition, measuring 4. 3cm in length and 1cm in width.
